Design Director
FabFitFun
FabFitFun is looking for a digitally-savvy, brand-forward Design Director to lead our growing Creative Team. This role will focus on bringing the FabFitFun brand to life across all touchpoints, from campaign creative to site marketing assets to lifecycle and paid media.
We're looking for someone with a strong eye for art direction and visual storytelling, paired with a solid grasp of digital design principles. You’ll lead creative across seasonal campaigns, ecomm moments, on-set production, and day-to-day marketing initiatives—always with performance, consistency, and elevated design in mind.
This is not a product design or UX role. You’ll collaborate with the Head of Product Design on cross-functional initiatives, but your focus will be on brand, content, and commerce-driven design.
The role reports into our SVP of Marketing and works closely with creative, growth, lifecycle, and merchandising teams. Must be based in Los Angeles, with regular in-office and on-set presence.
A strong portfolio of digital and brand work is required—please show us thoughtful campaigns, performance-minded design, and modern art direction.
What You’ll Do:
Digital Brand Expression
- Own the look and feel of our marketing surfaces—from site homepage to landing pages, email, and beyond.
- Design and direct digital-first assets that elevate the brand and drive results (not UX flows or product systems).
- Partner with the product design team to maintain cohesion between brand and product, especially at key marketing touchpoints.
Campaign & Content Development
- Lead the visual execution of marketing campaigns across site, email, paid social, video, and on-set.
- Partner with copywriters to create compelling, cohesive storytelling across all channels.
- Translate campaign concepts into versatile design systems for seasonal launches, tentpole moments, and promotions.
- Bring a performance lens to all creative—test, iterate, and refine based on what works.
On-Set Creative Direction
- Lead creative on set, overseeing styling, lighting, props, and real-time image direction to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Collaborate with producers, photographers, stylists, and talent to bring seasonal creative to life.
- Own the post-production process—including retouching, cropping, and formatting—to ensure assets are optimized for each channel.
What You’ll Bring
- 4–6 years of experience in art direction and brand design, ideally in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or ecommerce.
- A portfolio that shows digital-first campaign work, polished creative thinking, and experience designing for performance.
- Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, storytelling, typography, and how to design for conversion and engagement across ecommerce surfaces.
- Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, CaptureOne, and a working knowledge of motion/video design principles.
- Hands-on design skills—you can execute when needed, not just direct.
- Strong on-set creative direction experience, with an eye for elevating both product and lifestyle content.
- Able to work fast, independently, and collaboratively across teams.
Location: This role is based out of our HQ in Beverly Hills, CA where we are operating from a hybrid model of 3 days a week in-office. This role is not eligible for remote.
The expected annual salary for this position is $130,000-$150,000. The compensation package will also include an initial equity grant, in addition to a range of generous medical, dental, vision and other perks & benefits. Compensation decisions are determined using a variety of job-related factors such as skill set, geographic location, market demands, experience, and education / certifications. If we extend an offer for employment, we will consider all individual qualifications.
